Monitoring and censuses - Monitoring ringed birds
All the bird ringing projects that include field-readable rings, also include monitoring task of the ringed individus (like cormorants, vultures, ravens, seagulls, and so on).
We would like to highlight the cormorants monitoring:
During the winter in our county we control cormorants in several sleeping areas, to check the amount of ringed birds and other observations. It allows us to study the Great Cormorant fenology.
